Love, love, love! Mrs. Testey and her staff are amazing! My family and I are new to the region and had to find a provider for our twins before arriving. From the moment I had the virtual tour/interview with Mrs. Testey, I knew having my kids under her care would be a blessing. She and her staff are nurturing and engaging with the children.
I love that WCC is structured to keep all the kids engaged to promote learning and creativity - you never have to worry about if your kids are working on developmental skills.

We love this daycare. My daughter has been there 2 years and she LOVES Testey and her staff. As a matter of fact, she hates to leave and often runs when I come get her. The kids there are her best friends. She is 2 1/2 and has learned to use the potty, learned to use a spoon to eat rice early on, she says please and thank you and excuse me. She knows her colors, she can count to 12, she knows her ABCs and she is learning her shapes and animals. She is good about cleaning up. She has learned to put on her own shoes, which is a lifesaver for me. She colors and brings home art projects everyday. She glues and colors and paints and uses glitter. At the holidays, they brought home the best little projects - colored stockings, they decorated a beautiful little wooden sign, they made clay ornaments - things you treasure forever. She plays soccer and has learned to kick a ball with impressive skill. At this daycare, they are gentle and loving with my daughter. They send me pictures and videos and I see how they encourage her to be more independent and try to do things herself, which is important for her, as she's not the most independent kid. I dread the day we have to move on to kindergarten, because I know she will miss them. They have taught her so much.
As far as Covid precautions, she's become an EXPERT hand washer. She LOVES to wash her hands and asks constantly at home. She knows exactly how to get soap and scrub and dry. She also loves hand sanitizer. My daughter has not been sick once since Covid began. Every time I come the daycare workers are wearing their masks of course. The drop off area makes it easy to avoid other parents at drop-off. When I first toured this daycare, I loved how clean and organized it was.
I would definitely recommend this daycare to anyone, and I did refer my best friend here, but she lives in Reston, so Lorton is too far.

We've had our 21-month-old son with Ms. Testey for two months now, and we have nothing but great things to say about her daycare. From the very beginning, Ms. Testey provided regular check-ins and sent us photos, which really put our minds at ease. She is incredibly transparent, loving, and has a fantastic staff who are equally engaging with the children.
One of the aspects we appreciate the most is the lesson plan she provides each week. It's clear that she puts thought and effort into preparing the kids for preschool, and our son has been learning and growing under her care. Communication has been great, and we always feel well-informed about our child's day. We couldn't be happier with our choice of daycare provider in Ms. Testey.

My wife & I are very satisfied with the care our child has received. He is learning, thriving and growing. The provider Testey even has him potty training at 18 months and he's doing great (and very proud of himself).
Testey is great with communication which is important to us. She always responds quickly and is upfront about any issues which we appreciate.
As for the space - this is a well thought-out in-home setting with lots to explore for the little ones. It's spacious, clean and orderly. The daycare has a grassy yard with toys as well.
It's always hard to be away from your kid. But we take heart knowing he's in good hands with Testey. He's happy to go to daycare and happy at the end of the day. And so are we.
